Our People

Therapeutic Guidelines is an independent not-for-profit organisation.

Aiming to promote the quality use of medicines, which it does through the development, publication and sale of Therapeutic Guidelines.
Its reputation is staked not only on its publications but also its independence. With no reliance on any form of government funding or commercial interests it is financially self-sufficient, relying on the Australian healthcare community to fund the guidelines through subscriptions. To help protect this independence, a strict conflict of interest policy is in place. Directors, members of the company and expert writing group members are all required to provide interest statements.
Therapeutic Guidelines are written principally for prescribers to provide them with clear, practical, succinct and up-to-date therapeutic information for a range of conditions. They are based on the latest international literature, interpreted by some of Australia’s most respected experts, with input from an extensive network of general practitioners and other users. Therapeutic Guidelines represent the essence of current available evidence. Find a detailed description of the process used to develop the content.
